Easy Pumpkin Bread Recipe
This amazingly delicious pumpkin bread recipe is
both healthy and tasty. This is a great way to get a few more vegetable
into your child. Experts suggest that we eat a variety of colors of
vegetables; orange vegetables are often neglected. Pumpkin offers
nutrients such as iron, zinc, and fiber.
Beyond the benefits of the pumpkin the whole wheat
flour adds extra fiber and nutrients that make the bread even
healthier.
Don't let the fact that it is healthy scare you
off. Even the pickiest of eaters will love this recipe. In addition, it
is easy to make and requires very little time in the kitchen.

Pumpkin Bread

Ingredients:
3 cups whole-wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 1/2 cups sugar
4 eggs
2 cups pumpkin
1/2 cups oil
3/4 cup applesauce
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Directions:
Stir together the dry ingredients. Add the wet
ingredients, beat together and then add the nuts.
Pour it into 2 greased 8 1/2" x 4 1/2" bread pans.
Bake at 350° F for 45 - 50 minutes.
| Tip:
For a great tasting finish,
rub butter on the top of the whole loaf while it is still
hot. |
