Easy Italian Soda Recipe






This Italian soda recipe will make you popular at any party or dinner event. They add just the right touch to any meal. Instead of saying "that was a great meal", your guests will say "wow, that was gourmet!" At least, that was the comment I recieved the last time I served them.

Italian sodas, also known also as creamosas, have become very popular in restaurants and coffee shops. You may have noticed that they are not all created equal. Most recipes are pretty much the same: carbonated water, syrup, ice, cream (or milk), and maybe just a little splash of whipped cream on top. However there are a few things that separate a good Italian soda from a great Italian soda. See the recipe below to learn these tips and tricks.

Ingredients:

3-4 tablespoons syrup for Italian soda
1/2-3/4 cup Cream, half and half, or milk
ice
club soda (carbonated water)
whipped cream (optional)

Tip: Syrup for Italian sodas can be purchased at most grocery stores and at many coffee shops. There are hundreds of flavors and many brands. Not all are created equal. The first key to a great Italian soda is to find a great tasting high quality syrup. So, shop around and try a few.


Directions:

Tip: The second secret is to mix in the order given in this recipe. This will keep your milk from curdling.

Start with a large glass. Pour syrup into the glass (a few tablespoons, you may like more or less). Next add the cream, half and half, or milk. Stir them together. Now fill the glass with club soda and ice. Top with whipped cream if desired. Drink with a straw. Enjoy!
