recipes in the world.
However, they add a lot to any meal. It goes especially well with
pastas, anything with marinara sauce, and any other Italian food.

Simple Garlic Bread

|
Ingredients:
bread (whatever bread you have will work just fine)
butter
garlic powder
Directions:
There are two ways to do this:
1. Toast the bread in a toaster, butter the toast,
and sprinkle a little bit of garlic powder on top.
2.
If you want to make more than two pieces of garlic bread, it's best to
use the oven. Turn the oven on to broil. Butter the bread and sprinkle
the garlic powder on top. Then, place the bread on a baking sheet and
place it in the oven. Give it about 1 minute then check every 20-30
seconds until it is toasted to your liking.

Restaurant Style Garlic
Bread

My favorite garlic bread was inspired by a trip to
an Italian
restaurant in Chicago. It is not your traditional garlic bread. It is
round and cut like a pizza.
Ingredients:
1 round loaf of Italian bread
butter
fresh garlic cloves (peeled)
Italian seasoning
Dried Parsley
grated mozzarella cheese (optional)
| Tip:
The amount of these
ingredients depends mostly upon your personal
preference. |
Directions:
Cut the loaf of bread (hamburger bun style) into
one inch round
slices. Butter the bread. Slice the garlic cloves (lengthwise) very
thin (as thin as you possibly can). Sprinkle the bread with the garlic
slices (they should be about an inch apart). Sprinkle mozzarella cheese
on top if desired. Now, sprinkle the top with Italian seasoning and
parsley (this adds a little flavor and a nice splash of color).
Turn
the oven to broil. Place the bread on a baking sheet and place it in
the oven. Give it about 1-2 minute then check every 20-30 seconds until
it is toasted to your liking.
| Tip:
If you put
mozzarella cheese on it, it will take a little bit longer;
let it broil until the cheese is melted and barely starts to
brown. |
