Easy dessert recipes are great for many occasions.
Of course, you
will want to have the right easy dessert recipes for the occasion! Here
are some examples...
Family Dinner
The first occasion
that would come to most peoples mind is a family dinner. What better
way to end dinner than with a homemade dessert? Here are a few examples
of traditional family time desserts.
• Delicious
chocolate dessert: Try one of these exquisite and rich
chocolate desserts. Be warned these are for chocolate lovers only!
• Apple

your fresh or canned fruit. Try this recipe with peaches, or rhubarb
... it's great!

and nuts.
• Rice

from my great great great grandma. Enough Said!
Formal Dinner
Now,
if you like to entertain you know the importance of having just the
perfect finish to the perfect dinner. Dessert plays a very important
part in any formal dinner. It is meant to be a small serving of a sweet
dish to clear the palate and the mind. It also helps settle the
stomach. Choose desserts that both taste and look wonderful.
• Creme
Brulee: This is a traditional French creation. It is a creamy
custard with a caramelized sugar coated top.
• Cream
Puff: Cream puffs always look very elegant and fancy and of
course they taste sensational.
Snack Time
If
you're like me, unless you have guests over you usually wait until
after dinner to even begin rummaging through your cookbook to see what
easy dessert recipes you can find to satisfy your sweet tooth. At that
point, you usually want something straight-forward and easy.
• Brownies:
This is one of my favorites because it is so fast and easy to make.
Plus, you just can't beat the homemade flavor of these brownies.
• Monkey Bread (coming soon!): This sweet pull
apart treat is great for any informal occasion. It is also very easy to
make.
• Caramel
Chex Mix: Just picture a soft gooey caramel as the base of
this Chex mix. It gives muddy buddies a run for their money!
• Caramels:
Have you ever eaten a homemade caramel? They are to die for!
• Fudge:
This is my mother in law's famous fudge recipe, inspired by See's fudge.
Ice Cream to top it off
What
is dessert without ice cream? It's even better if it's homemade ice
cream! Nothing beats that smooth churned taste of ice cream to cool you
down on a warm summer day, or to top your favorite dessert.
• Fruity
Ice Cream: This tropical ice cream is tasty and very
refreshing, it's great for any large gathering.
• Ice
Cream in a Bag:
Don't have an ice cream maker? This can be a game and sensational ice
cream without having to own a maker. Flavor this recipe however you
like! • "Storable" homemade ice cream:
The problem with many homemade ice cream recipes is that they are great
fresh but get icy and hard when you try to store them. I created this
recipe specifically to solve that problem.
