Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups whole-wheat flour
2/3 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup oil
2 eggs
1 cups mashed bananas
1/2 cup chopped nuts
| Tip:
This
is a great way to use up your over-ripe bananas. In fact those black
bananas sitting on your counter top actually make fantastic banana
bread. So don't throw them away. Use them up! |
Directions:
Sift all of the dry ingredients in a large bowl.
Add the oil, eggs and bananas, and mix well. Stir in the nuts and pour
the batter into a well greased 8 1/2" x 4 1/2" pan.
Bake at 350° F for 50 - 60 minutes.
| Tip:
You
can tell when your bread is done by sticking a toothpick into the
center. If it comes out clean, then it is done.
If you rub the top with butter when it is done, it
gives the bread a very tasty finish! |
