This recipe is the easiest, since you just use a
little of your dough from the bread you are already making.
Ingredients:
1 - 2 loafs of bread dough (1 loaf = 12 small
rolls, 2 loafs = 15-18 large rolls)
soft or melted butter
cinnamon
brown sugar
maraschino cherries, chopped (optional)
nuts, chopped (optional)
Directions:
Roll the dough into a rectangle about 1/2 inch
thick and spread or
rub the butter on it. Sprinkle generously with cinnamon and then brown
sugar.
Then starting on a long side of the rectangle,
roll
the dough up jelly-roll style. Cut the rolls about 1 inch thick and
place on a buttered pan, an inch or so apart. Let it raise for 30 - 40
minutes, until the rolls are touching each other.
Bake at 350° F for 18 - 20 minutes.
Frost with vanilla frosting (recipe below) immediately after
they come out of the oven.
