Easy Chocolate Cookie Recipe
I found this amazing chocolate cookie recipe on
the back of a bag of Hershey brand chocolate chips when I was in
college. They create a unique twist to the original chocolate chip
cookie.
Instead of having a vanilla flavored cookie with
chocolate chips, we turn the table and make a chocolate cookie with
vanilla (white) chocolate chips. The result: an amazing cookie.
These are pretty rich, so make sure you have
plenty of milk on hand!
Aside from being amazingly delicious, these
cookies also have a very short prep time, making them ideal for guests
or a quick snack when you're hungry. You don't even have to roll them
out, you just drop the dough onto the pan with a spoon

HERSHEY'S Perfect White Chip Chocolate
Cookies

Ingredients:
1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup HERSHEY'S Cocoa
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups (12-oz. pkg.) HERSHEY'S Premier White Chips
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Beat the butter and sugar in a large bowl until creamy. Add the eggs and vanilla;
beat until light and fluffy. Stir together the flour, cocoa, baking soda
and salt; gradually beat into the butter mixture. Stir in the white chips. Drop
by rounded teaspoons onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
| Tip:
Grab two spoons. You can use
one for scooping up the dough and the other to scrape the dough off of
the first spoon onto the pan. |
Bake 8 to 9 minutes. (Do not overbake; cookies
will be soft. They will
puff while baking; flatten upon cooling.) Cool slightly; remove from
cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely. Makes about 4-1/2 dozen
cookies.
| Tip:
If the cookies turn out too
soft (you can't pick them up without them crumbling) you can add a
little bit of flour to the dough. That should help. |
